Proofreading

This is all about checking the final version of the document for mistakes, including; spelling, grammar, punctuation or any other errors which would be detrimental or costly to leave in. At this stage, significant changes should not be introduced – however, should the document need this level of attention, it should probably be copy-edited first.

Edit & Copy

Copy-editing involves the basic proofreading service, but in addition, taking a closer look at the construction of the sentences, and suggesting changes to style or formatting. The intention is to improve how the document reads and make sure it flows properly. Words here and there may be substituted to avoid any duplication.
